Invisalign® in Windsor

Do you want straight, uniform teeth? Dr. Gary Mannarino at Devon Plaza Dental is ready to transform your smile! We offer Invisalign® in Windsor for patients who would like this treatment rather than traditional metal braces. The Invisalign® system uses clear thermoplastic material to create a strong mould that fits right over your teeth. You will be fitted with additional aligners in order to make gradual adjustments to your teeth over the course of several months. You will receive new aligners approximately every two weeks and will have to remove them when you eat and brush your teeth. Invisalign® is ideal for both teens and adults; your dentist will determine whether this system is right for your unique needs.

Benefits of Invisalign® from Windsor’s Dr. Gary Mannarino

Invisalign® has been providing an alternative to metal braces since the early 2000s. Patients often choose Invisalign® over metal braces because the aligners are removable, far less noticeable and easier to clean. Here are some other benefits of this system:

  • Comfortable and convenient to wear
  • Effectively straightens your teeth over time
  • Innovative materials and design allow your dentist to make precise movements of your teeth
  • You can eat your favourite foods without worry
  • Removable design allows you to brush and floss normally
  • Corrects crowding, spacing, overbite and underbite dental problems
  • Possibly corrects teeth faster than metal braces – treatment is usually expected to take about 12 months but depends on the severity of the problems being corrected

Who Might Benefit from Invisalign® from Windsor’s Dr. Gary Mannarino?
Perhaps you have been thinking long and hard about seeking a straighter, more uniform smile. If you’ve been hesitating because you don’t want to wear traditional, metal braces, you may be wondering if Invisalign® is right for you. You may benefit from Invisalign® if:

  • You are willing to commit to wearing your Invisalign® system consistently; because the system can be removed, it can be tough to remember to wear your Invisalign® for the recommended 22 hours per day
  • Your dental issues are not extremely severe but more cosmetic; Invisalign® can work for dental problems such as gapped or crowded teeth and can also be used to correct slight problems with bite
  • You are an older teenager or adult; Invisalign® is not a good treatment for children because children’s teeth are still growing and moving
  • You are willing to wear a retainer at night for many years following the treatment

Invisalign® can be used as a highly effective means of treatment, but patients might not qualify for Invisalign® treatment if they have severe bite problems such as back tooth bite or teeth that have been treated with bridges. In the end, the only way to determine whether or not you qualify or would benefit from this dental procedure is to meet with a dentist who is experienced with Invisalign®. Windsor’s Dr. Gary Mannarino can answer your questions and concerns regarding this treatment to help you decide.
